I agree, your task is to determine whether the camera is stolen ... if the man has all the boxes, accessories and CD's do not go. Is this the only camera with one of the components come with a new camera, the property, then it could be stolen.

Ask your father brings his laptop to a photo with the camera, laptop, and transfer to the EXIF data (in XP: right click> properties check-> Summary-> (Advanced if necessary) and find the camera model) . Nikon I have never seen a fake! It could be if it is stolen. A real photographer knows. If you do not know, do not buy it.
